One Last Hurrah

With Summer drawing to a close and before the kids head back to BYU, we decided to make a trip to Seattle for a few days for some site seeing, shopping and Mariner's baseball game. We hadn't been to Seattle or a Mariner's game for a long time other than for State football games. Todd and I lived in Seattle when we were first married. It was fun to show the kids where I use to work, etc. We left Sunday after Church and stopped at Snoqualmie Falls Park and had a picnic and hiked around a bit. It was a beautiful day. Monday we took the light rail downtown and walked around Pike Place Market, the water front and shopped. Kaitlan found us tickets online to a Mariners game a few months ago. They were great seats at a great price and we wondered what the catch was on the great deal. We found out soon enough when the Toronto Blue Jays hit a homerun in the first inning and EVERYONE stood up around us cheering at the top of their lungs! We were sitting in blue jay territory. It was an exciting game and the Mariner's came from behind to win. Kraymer even caught a ball during batting practice. (I actually think he might have begged for it and a Toronto player tossed it to him) We spent Tuesday shopping and of course hit the Nike outlet on our way home. We have enjoyed a great Summer with everybody home. It won't be like this again for several years. Kraymer's mission call hasn't come yet, so he is waiting patiently while he packs and gets ready for his first semester of College.
